The Crazy Week of 2/19 and 2/21

Overview of the Week —Which comprise of TWO days and a total of 124 minutes — Absolutely Not Enough Time to do History Right!
Those of you who are astute, know that we are a day behind last week since we started off last Monday with a SNOW DAY. So Friday becomes Tuesday... another day off. And if we look at the weather, Wednesday look ominous — however the GOOD NEWS is we don't have class together!!!


Friday

Objectives:

  • List the effects the War of 1812 had on banking, shipping, farming, industry, and transportation.

Homework:

  • Re-read pp. 217 — 221


Therefore the above "Friday" becomes " Tuesday."

However, although we'll cover Section 1 of Chapter 8 tomorrow, here's what we'll also need to cover:

Handing out essays from last Thursday's question on the War of 1812;
My main comment on most pages is a week thesis — which I believe is a result from not planning an outline before writing. 

Sorry but I'll return your half-pager on Thursday after spending way too much time over this President's Day weekend, honoring our presidents — or course.

Homework for Thursday:
Read Handout & create on page (skip lines!) on both significant facts and/or formulating questions for discussion.

Thursday
Distribute yet another handout on the personalities of the 1820's and the revolutionary elections of '24 and '28.

The elections of '24 & '28 may be on of the turning points in US history. 

Your homework will include reading pp. 221-242.
